ANTHONY J. DOWD

President and Chief Executive Officer

Anthony J. Dowd is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield, a position he has held since January 2017, and serves on its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Fairfield, Mr. Dowd had more than twenty-five years of experience in private equity, including serving as the Managing Partner of Charter Oak Capital Partners and as an Executive Partner at Mill Point Capital. He has served on the boards of directors of numerous private and public companies, including Hostess Brands, Inc., the Financial Accounting Foundation, and Future Pipe Industries in Dubai, the global leader in fiberglass pipe systems. Mr. Dowd also served as a director of Magseis-Fairfield ASA (OB: MSEIS) from 2020-2022, where he was Chairman of the Compensation and Talent Committee. During the Financial Crisis, Mr. Dowd was the Chief of Staff for Paul Volcker, the Chairman of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board. He is a former U.S. Army Officer and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

CHRISTOPHER SUGAHARA

Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer

Christopher Sugahara is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Fairfield and serves on its Board of Directors. He is responsible for overseeing the investment activity of the Fairfield group of companies, including subsidiary investment activity, debt financing and treasury management. In addition, he serves as Chairman of Great American Lines and Chairman of SpeedPro Imaging. A third-generation family member, Chris has over fifteen years of experience with the company in a broad variety of roles; he is a past Chairman of the Sugahara Family Ownership Board, former Chief Executive Officer at Fairfield Geotechnologies, and a former Director of Fairfield-Maxwell. Prior to joining Fairfield in 2004, Chris served as an Associate in the Hedge Fund Investments Group at Credit Suisse Asset Management and an Analyst in the Private Client Services division of Credit Suisse First Boston. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University.

KEVIN J. CROSBY

Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer

Kevin J. Crosby is the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Fairfield since September 2019. Kevin is also serving as the interim Chief Financial Officer since June 2024.  Mr. Crosby’s tenure includes key roles within the Fairfield group of companies including Interim Chief Financial Officer at Magseis Fairfield, a publicly-traded company based in Oslo, Norway, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Fairfield Geotechnologies. Prior to joining the Fairfield family, Kevin served as Chief Financial Officer of ValvTechnologies, responsible for finance, information technology, and manufacturing operations. Prior to joining ValvTechnologies in 2008, he was Vice President of Finance at Crane Energy and Crane Valve North America, and Global Valve Group Director, Business Integration and Corporate Director of Operational Analysis of Crane Co. Mr. Crosby earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from La Salle University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Montclair State University.

DANIEL S. EISEMANN

Senior Vice President of Corporate Development

Daniel S. Eisemann is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of Fairfield overseeing deal execution and sourcing efforts as well as supporting portfolio company senior management. Mr. Eisemann has over fifteen years of experience in principal investing, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, and performance improvement. Prior to joining Fairfield in 2015, Mr. Eisemann served as a Senior Vice President of Asgaard Capital, a boutique investment bank. Mr. Eisemann has also previously worked at FTI Consulting and Alvarez & Marsal advising clients across various industries on turnaround and restructuring. Mr. Eisemann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Mr. Eisemann serves on the Board of SpeedPro Imaging, Universal Builders Supply, and Turley International Resources.

BYRON M. SUGAHARA

Chairman of the Board

Byron M. Sugahara, a second-generation family member at Fairfield, is the Chairman of the Board of the company. Mr. Sugahara has worked with companies in the Fairfield portfolio for more than 45 years. He has served as a Director of Fairfield Geotechnologies, a Director of Fairfield Chemical Carriers, President of Reefer Express Lines, and President of Great American Lines. Mr. Sugahara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. He is a member of the American Bureau of Shipping, a member of the North American Committee of Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (“ClassNK” or “NK”), and previously served on the Board of The Peck School and the Henryville Conservation Club.

CHARLES M. ALLEN, CPA

Vice Chairman

Charles M. Allen, CPA, has over forty years of experience in public accounting and extensive experience with domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Allen currently serves as the Co-Chairman of Crowe Global and served as the Vice Chairman of Crowe LLP in 2016 and as the Chief Executive Officer from 2007 to 2015.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ball State University. Mr. Allen is a trustee for the Financial Accounting Foundation and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was recognized by the National Association of Corporate Directors as one of the most influential people in corporate governance.

SUSAN M. BRATTON

Outside Member

Susan M. Bratton is the former President of Electrochem Solutions at Greatbatch, Inc. (Integer Holdings: NYSE: ITGR), where she held Executive leadership positions in manufacturing, quality, procurement, and general management, and helped take the company through its initial public offering. Ms. Bratton has over thirty years of experience in driving revenue growth and profitability in the healthcare and industrial markets. She also served a ten-year term on the Board of Directors and as the Nomination Committee Chair for Insyte Consulting, a firm dedicated to driving innovation and profitability for manufacturing and technology companies. Ms. Bratton holds a Masters of Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology.

BARBARA M. HENAGAN

Outside Member

Ms. Henagan has more than thirty years of direct private equity investing experience. She is the Founder and Managing Director at Linx Partners, a Private Equity Firm focused on middle market industrial businesses based in Atlanta. At Linx Ms. Henagan and her Partners have raised and invested three funds, and she currently Chairs or serves on the boards of several of Linx’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Linx Ms. Henagan was the Senior Managing Director of Bradford Ventures. She has served on the boards of numerous public and private companies, including Tidewater Equipment Corp, General Bearing Corporation, and Central Sprinkler Corporation. At Bradford, Ms. Henagan was Co-Chairman of Overseas Equity Investors Ltd. and Overseas Private Investors Ltd. She holds an MBA from Columbia University and graduated Magma Cum Laude with a BA from Princeton University.

Beloved Friend, Mentor, and Vice Chairman

MAURICE M. SMITH

Vice Chairman

Maurice M. Smith is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Fairfield. Mr. Smith served for over thirty years at Deloitte & Touche (formerly Touche Ross) where he was on the Management Committee for twenty years and headed the management consulting group for the Western Region of the United States. Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr. Smith served as a Technologies Manager at Ashland Oil.  He started his career in the corporate headquarters of Procter & Gamble. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Kansas and served as an officer of the United States Air Force upon graduating. He is a Director of several privately-held enterprises in addition to serving as a Director of and consultant to Fairfield since 2007. Mr. Smith is involved in a number of nonprofit organizations and has served two terms as the President of the Los Angeles Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
